University of Windsor’s Upcoming APCEM Course

360 Energy is teaming up again with the University of Windsor to run the Advanced Professional Certificate in Energy Management (APCEM) course at the International Centre on January 17-19th.

The course has been wildly successful and well received by those working for or with utilities, as well as those with vested interests in becoming involved with energy management.  The course was developed and delivered by experts that work in the field as well as by members of academia, and focuses on the essentials of building a sustainable energy management team.

360 Energy plays a role in this course through providing guidance for participants in energy management.  David Arkell, President and CEO of 360 Energy, provides leadership to attendees of the course through his extensive background in the energy field, specifically in managing energy usage and costs.

The feedback from former attendees of the course has been very encouraging.  Brian Smith, a representative from Horizon Utilities, said that the program allowed him “to identify the resources and responsibilities required for a utility to motivate and engage the customer in developing a sustainable energy management program. It provided a lot of information and a process on what has to happen behind the meter for customers to succeed in energy management”.

The course was originally developed under the direction of Dr. Rupp Carriveau, and was enabled through a grant from the Ontario Power Authority.
