New SEP Workshop slated for February, 2009

Burlington ON, January 6, 2009: 360 Energy Inc., one of North America’s leading energy services firms, will host a Sustainable Energy Planning Workshop on February 12, 2009 in Hamilton, Ontario.

By pushing for aggressive cost reductions and a concentration on fine-tuning its lean processes, companies will need to focus and sustain savings through energy cost reductions.   A three stage business-solution methodology sponsored by Enbridge and Union Gas provides businesses a streamlined approach to engage a site’s workforce (from floor level to senior management) to control and reduce daily energy costs and consumption.

The most recent workshop hosted in association with Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) in Hamilton, Ontario on December 10, 2008 was a great success.

The participants focused on five key areas of energy management while assessing their current energy management programs by developing a scorecard and baseline map of their current activity. Exposure to over 60 world-class energy management best practices and saving techniques have motivated these companies to capitalize on identified opportunities while recognizing what internal resources they have available to participate and generate sustainable savings. The processes, programs, and projects identified should lead to bottom-line energy savings between one and twenty-five percent on electricity, natural gas and water.

For those that are interested in the February workshop, a site pre-assessment is being offered outlining who should take the SEP program and a review of the current strengths and weaknesses of the active energy management strategy. This is intended to provide the company with a clear picture of what areas they can expect to be improved after the SEP session. After completion of the workshop, 360 Energy will also be offering additional support to help develop a plan and sell the concept to senior management to begin to initiate the plan. Successful execution will pave the way to utilizing the appropriate technology and creating a sustainable energy program for years to come.

360 Energy’s President and CEO, David Arkell says, “completing the workshop is imperative for any leading organization to remain profitable, strengthen their competitive advantage, and continue the focus on green initiatives. Being able to prioritize energy ideas, actions that will be taken, and enlisting help from others for implementation is invaluable. It creates a real team environment and demonstrates their effectiveness at being a leader at a provincial level and throughout the community.”
